  • Health & Safety Law on Traffic Management

    Understanding the roles and responsibilities of workers at a construction site set by the Health and Safety at Work Act.

  • Traffic Management

    Managing the movement of vehicles on a construction site and working with the relevant health and safety regulations.

  • Traffic Risk Assessment

    Critical thinking, performing risk assessments, and using indicators to minimise the risks and hazards of vehicles on a construction site.

  • Responsibilities of a Traffic Marshal/Banksman

    Following control measures on a site where machinery is being operated in order to safeguard the site.

  • PPE & Safety Signs

    In order to preserve lives and prevent injuries, there is a need for safety signs on the plant where machinery is being operated.

  • Dangerous Manoeuvres - Reversing

    Nearly a quarter of deaths involving vehicles at work occur during reversing. Most of these accidents can be avoided by taking simple precautions.

CITB does not approve Traffic Banksman qualifications, HURAK is the accrediting body for our Traffic Marshal course. Our course is delivered in line with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines.

The online training covers the HSE - Complaint Hand Signals unit as well.

Yes, this is exactly the same as the classroom training, all you need to do is study the resources and take the exam, at your own pace.

Yes, you can book our online format for this qualification and sit the course and exam from your home. You will get the same certificate and ID card that classroom-based learners receive, fulfilling the position of a Traffic Banksman/Marshal in and around any construction site in the UK.

It is mandatory to study the course resources because that will prepare you to take the 30 minutes exam that comes with the training.

Usually, it doesn’t happen, but in case it does, you can try opening the link in ‘incognito mode’.

Yes, you’ll be able to take the first resit for free. The second, and any subsequent resits, will cost you £25.

Successful candidates receive a Hurak accredited E-Certificate and a Photo ID Card upon completion of the training.

No, the CPCS course is a much longer course and costs £900. If your employer hasn’t specifically asked for a CPCS course, it is advisable to do the half-day Traffic Banksman course as you will be getting a certificate and a photo ID card which would allow you to work as a Traffic Banksman anywhere in the UK.

Yes, an e-certificate can be emailed to you upon request.

Yes, you can apply for a replacement ID card by paying only £25.

The ID card and the certificate expire on the same day so you’ll have to do the course again in order to get a new ID Card and a certificate.
